Baby Changing Station Laws in Florida
Many parents and caregivers are wondering, is it law to have baby changing facilities in Florida buildings? Diaper changing station laws do not exist in Florida, with the exception of Miami-Dade County, who enacted the Baby Diaper-Changing Accommodations Ordinance in 2018.
The Miami baby changing station law stipulates that diaper changing stations be provided in all new buildings, or newly renovated buildings. It also applies to any building that received their occupancy permit after February 1999, and requires that baby changing stations must be available in both women’s and men’s restrooms.
Federal Baby Changing Laws Applicable in Florida
